This Weekend’s Classes & New January Classes

Makers,

This weekend we have three classes at The Claremont Makerspace: Make An LED Hourglass, Fiber Arts Orientation & Quilting Machine Training.  Both fiber arts classes are excellent ways to get familiar with our textile equipment.  The LED Hourglass project uses light-emitting diodes (LEDs) as grains of “sand” to simulate the movement of the hourglass, the upper “sand” trickles down one by one, piling up at the bottom. Family pairs (adult / child aged 10+) assembling an hourglass together are welcome. Note that your child will be working with a hot soldering iron. We have just added a swath of new classes in January including Intro to MIG Welding, Laser 101, Messin’ Around with Object Oriented Programming, Make A Votive Candle Holder and Intro to 3D Printing. See our full class listings for more information on these.
