Make A Cinch Bag & Weekend Classes

Next Tuesday, Cole-Tac of Newport, NH will be teaching a class on How to Make a Cinch-Bag; a very cool project to either practice your existing stitching skills or, for those first-timers to learn how to sew. The machines in our sewing department happen to also be donated by Cole-Tac. An article in the Eagle Times this week discusses how the company is partnering with CMS to develop it’s workforce. The Cinch-Bag class will happen Tuesday, February 20th, from 6 – 9 PM
THIS WEEKEND, tickets are still available for the Shaker Table Q&A w/ PBS’ Tom McLaughlin event on Saturday, February 16th. Interested in using CMS’ Jewelry Studio independently? Join us Saturday & Sunday for Jewelry Studio Training. On Sunday, encapsulate flavors into bubbles that burst in your mouth! We’ll turn a variety of liquids into edible pearls. Imagine cranberry juice “fish eggs”, green tea “peas,” orange juice “egg yolks,” and more. Family pairs (adult / child aged 10+) exploring fun flavors together are welcome at Explore Molecular Gastronomy: Spherification.
Also, please join us for our Open House at CMS on Friday, February 22nd from 6 – 8 PM. This month we will be featuring the opening of our member art gallery, with art in a variety of mediums located throughout CMS. Also, come meet our members, check out workshop demos and see the projects being made at CMS. Learn about our upcoming classes & become involved with CMS! We will be partnering with Sunshine Cookshop on Pleasant Street to offer a 10% coupon (valid through 2/25/19) to those that come to the Open House.
