Fundamental Selling Skills – Deadline Soon

In Fundamental Selling Skill & Pitch Practice, you will learn that selling is really about effectively building relationships and listening to your clients. You’ll leave feeling empowered with selling skills you can apply today and an elevator pitch you can modify to fit any customer segment! Topics may include but are not limited to:

  • The psychology of selling
  • Identify your unique selling proposition
  • Selling benefits vs. features
  • Describe what your business does in interesting language conveying the value you provide your customers
  • Presenting yourself effectively and comfortably
  • The importance of following up
  • Learn how to adapt your pitch based on your goal and the audience
  • Learn how to keep the conversation going with open ended questions – your call to action

Fundamental Selling Skill & Pitch Practice is a two-part series happening on Wednesday’s, January 8th and 15th, 6:00pm – 8:00pm and partial scholarships are available. Registration closes December 20th!

Quilting Machine Training

January 5th, 4 – 5:30 PM

The Claremont MakerSpace’s quilting machine is a great tool for creative, efficient quilting! In this hands-on training session, participants will learn how to set up a project on the quilting machine and utilize its standard features. Participants of this class will have the opportunity to sign up for follow-up certification sessions, so that they may use the machine on their own.

Note: Individuals with no prior experience on a quilting machine are required to take this workshop before getting certified to use the quilting machine at the CMS. Home Schoolers Adventures in Art

Mondays from 10 to 12 noon January 6, 13, 20, 27

Art is fun and it encompasses all the fundamental disciplines. History, math, science, literature, humanities, all inform and enliven our art. We will look at the greatest of human achievements and from those lofty heights we will create our own art work. Join me at Claremont MakerSpace for this creative and exciting program, painting drawing creating sculptures and more.  Age 6 & up.

Introduction to Schematic Capture and Circuit Board Design with KiCAD

Thursdays January 9th – January 30th, 6 – 8 PM

This course will introduce you to KiCAD, a free and open-source design suite for electronic design. KiCAD allows you to enter an electronic schematic into your computer and then use that schematic to design a printed circuit board. We will take you through example designs so you can see the process from one end to the other and be able to go on to design your own circuit boards.

The Color Wheel (For Ages 8 – 12)

Thursday’s January 23rd – February 27th, 3 – 5 PM

Ready to master color? In this six week after school program, students will use a variety of mediums to better understand the use of color in art. Over the course of the class students will use paint, clay, water colors to master primary, secondary and tertiary colors. Each week will focus on a new lesson and medium in which to make and take home completed projects.
