CMS Launches New Summer Teacher Program

UPDATE 6/21/24 – This program is now available to teachers from all area schools.

The Claremont MakerSpace has created a special program to enable local teachers to learn new skills and create projects for themselves and their classrooms.  This NEW Summer Teacher Program provides unlimited membership access from 8am to 9pm daily, for the Summer months. The cost is $200 for 3 full months, including a locker and member discounts on classes (valued over $350). All other aspects of membership and access to the many shops and studios of CMS are the same. CMS provides shared tools and workshops for woodworking, fiber arts, electronics, large format printing, welding, jewelry, metal crafting, robotics, digital fabrication, precision machining and more!

Interested teachers and staff from schools part of the SAU6 and the Claremont Christian Academy are invited to register here, and select membership level “CMS Special Program Preauth”, which will start the registration process. Teachers are welcome to attend an Open House on June 15th during 10am to noon, or schedule a tour to learn more. New members are required to present their SAU6 or CCA identification to confirm membership, and they will then be scheduled for CMS orientation.

This program is open for registration until the end of June or until it reaches capacity. Teachers and staff from Claremont schools are invited to register first, and the program will expand to other area schools if space is available. For any questions about this program, please contact [email protected].

Come learn at CMS this Summer!
