Sat Nov 4 2023, 11:00P — 1:00P

This two hour workshop walks you through the steps to create a “Gnome for the Holidays” ornament.

Each participant will receive one DIY Gnome Kit, which includes two engraved pieces (Christmas 2023 and Gnome for the Holidays). In addition, you will have access to the paints and supplies necessary to create your Gnome and I will be there to guide you through the process, giving you as much or as little assistance as you desire.

Participants will leave with a completed ornament.

Instructor Bio:

Hello, my name is kB Miller and I am an artist / maker of many things.

My creations utilize a variety of mediums, including clay, paper, wood and glass.

My interest in laser cut products began at the MakerSpace!  The desire to create utilizing the innovative technology of a laser cutter led me to invest in my own Glowforge.  As a result, I am constantly exploring the boundaries of creativity and craftsmanship. Through this cutting-edge laser cutter, I am able to transform various materials into unique and captivating products that blend artistry with functionality.

Members Only Shindig

Sun Nov 5 2023, 1:00P — 3:00P

Are you ready for a Show and Tell? Bring your recently completed or in-progress projects and creations to share with your fellow makers.

Bring any leftover Halloween candy to get rid of or trade or bring a treat of your choice to share. (Please label homemade foods with all ingredients, as we do have members with allergies. Thanks!)

We have all manner of projects going at the MakerSpace and this is a chance to show yours off. Anything you’re working on at home works, too. There’s something for everyone at a Show & Tell — be it artistry, engineering, or pure craftsmanship. We always enjoy seeing the wild ideas people bring!

Bring a work-in-progress or even your notebook sketches. Develop your ideas further, open them up to discussion, and take them to the next level while enjoying fun and fellowship with other members.

As always, you’re encouraged to bring a family member or friend (especially if they’re interested in making).

We also encourage you to register, so we have an idea of how many folks to expect, but it’s not required.
